The YomoYama is a community arts and culture outlet featuring content inspired by life in Japan.
Diverse Content and Authorship
YomoYama’s content comes from a diverse demographic of writers and artists connected to life in Japan. Though predominantly an English language magazine based in Nagano prefecture, we always encourage submissions from non-native English speakers and writers throughout Japan. We have printed articles in Japanese, Portuguese, and English and encourage submissions from any nationality or linguistic background.
Submission Guidelines
There are none. If you can e-mail it, you can submit it. Prose, poetry, artwork, op-eds, cultural or festival coverage, video, traditional journalism…anything…the YomoYama is interested in resources and creativity through any medium, though we do ask that you make your submissions with the theme of the issue in mind.
The YomoYama is not interested in content that is offensive or that uncritically propagates prejudice and stereotyping. However, pieces that further dialogue or debate are always invited.
